There's an interesting experiment going on in New York right now.
New York has required restaurants to include calorie information on their menus. The most obvious place to see this is Starbucks where all their food now has calorie counts next to prices. And it's pretty eye opening. A Top Pot apple fritter has
490 calories. To put that in perspective a McDonald's double cheeseburger has less calories. In fact most of the items at Starbucks have between 400 and 500 calories. Four donuts and you've probably hit your daily calorie limit. You can see people hesitate in the mornings as they place their orders.
