financial crisis inquiry commission

NYTimes is first out with the scoop on the commission's findings.  Surprisingly it is, in my mind, an exceptionally well written document considering the bipartisan nature of the committee.  They have for the most part nailed the causes including Greenspan, failings of the SEC, the ratings companies, the incestuous nature of the relationship between Wall Street lobby money and elected officials, etc.

You will not find in this report any mention of home ownership goals for lower income families by the U.S. government as a cause.  Nor Fannie or Freddie.

All of this is correct.

I'm interested in seeing the final report.
