small world

Here's an interesting story I just learned.  Elizabeth Fraser who sang for The Cocteau Twins covered a song called "Song to the Siren" by Tim Buckley.  In many ways her cover of the song is what made the song so famous and what has given it longevity.  Buckley died at a young age in 1975 from a massive drug overdose.  Ms. Fraser was 12 at the time.  Ms Fraser ends up dating his son Jeff Buckley, also a musician.  They recorded a song together.  They break up.  While she is recording "Silent Spring" for the Massive Attack collective, a song loosely about Jeff, he dies in a drowning incident in Memphis.
